  2. Installing your Star Micronics Windows 3.1 Printer Driver

  4. 1.  In the Main group, choose the Control Panel
  5.     icon.
  6.  
  7. 2.  In Control Panel, choose the Printers icon.
  8.  
  9.     The Printers dialog box appears. If you have
  10.     never installed a printer, the dialog box
  11.     expands to display a list of printers available
  12.     in the Windows version 3.1 package, and the Add
  13.     button is unavailable. Go to step 8.
  14.  
  15. 3.  Choose the Add button.
  16.  
  17.     The dialog box expands to display the List Of
  18.     Printers.
  19.  
  20. 4.  In the List Of Printers box, select Install
  21.     Unlisted or Updated Printer.
  22.  
  23. 5.  Choose the Install button.
  24.  
  25.     A dialog box appears, instructing you to insert
  26.     the disk that has the printer-driver file on it.
  27.  
  28. 6.  Insert the disk you made during the downloading
  29.     procedure, or type the path of the directory
  30.     where you downloaded the driver. Then choose the
  31.     OK button.
  32.  
  33.     Another dialog box appears, listing several
  34.     printers.
  35.  
  36. 7.  In the List Of Printers box, select the printer
  37.     you want.
  38.  
  39. 8.  Choose the OK button.
  40.  
  41.     The Printers dialog box appears. Your printer is
  42.     listed in the Installed Printers list.
  43.  
  44. 9.  Choose the Close button.
  45.

  47.     printer, see Chapter 5, "Control Panel," in the
  48.     "Microsoft Windows User's Guide."
